Access97 ODBC

Hi, Please help!
I am use XP, and I setup an ODBC for my access97 mdb. But I don't know if it is setup right. Because When I use perl to open it, it cannot be open. I want to make sure it can be open but there is no button to click to test it when setting it up. Can anyone give me a hint how to test it? thanks.

Try creating a new access database and attempting to link to the other one through the ODBC connection you have set up

Thank you for the hint. I tried: This is what I did: I created a new database, then clicked File, Get external data, link tables, I selected ODBC as my file type, then select my DSN, the message shows up say You can not use ODBC to import from, to export to, or link an external Microsoft Jet or ISAM database to your database
