3 cottages, 1 booking?

hello,
firstly may i apologise for any part of my message that may come accross as ignorant or just plain stupid.
I am a novice db user and was just wondering, I am trying to create a similar db to the one mentioned above, with the three tables for cottage, customer and booking.
Does the above code listing allow for 1 booking entity to reference more than one cottage
eg. booking reference 1: books cottage 1,2,3 for a particular customer on particular dates.

that is what i am trying to achieve and i am struggling to get my head around the whole concept, any advice on topics i should study in more detail would be much appreciated.

This is my first ever forum post, be gentle!!

thank you

Welcome to the wonderful world of forums!

If booking and cottage have a one to many relationship, then you can have any number of bookings per cottage.

BTW, it might be simpler if you start a new topic on this... not sure yet... but you may not need to code this... if you are using Access you can just create the tables using Design rather than do it using SQL statements.

Not so clever there poots, coz now you've made post 1 here confusing in what he's referring to with "mentioned above" and "above code listing"

I dunno, the n00b mods we have here!! :nudge:

[sarcasm]Oh hell, where's them tags george needs[/sarcasm]

Typical Aussie. If this board was not rammed to the rafters with hopeless users trying to get one over us humble, hard working mods things would run a lot more smoothly.

In all seriousness...

i_rosser, I'm afraid that your post was made in to a new thread, and the link to the original has been severed. If you know the original link, please post back and we'll merge the information appropriately.

The code being referred to was just three MAKE TABLE definition statements which would create the three tables mentioned.
