Write conflict error

I have created a database in access 2007 and have split it so it can be used by more than 1 person. the tables are on a network drive.

Both users appeared to have no issues until trying to close the database and got the write conflict error....Any ideas why this would happen?

  • The Back End (with Tables) are on a shared drive; what about the Front End? Does each user have a Copy of the Front End on their PC?
  • Can they Save a Record, i.e. enter data and then move to another New or Existing Record on the Form?
  • Do the users have Write Permission for the shared drive?
