Pivot tables

I am in search of an affordable solution that with minimal programming will allow me to process data in the same way that MS Excel does when using pivot tables. In fact the only reason that we cannot utilize Excel for our reporting is it's limitations in regard to the number of entries it can process (I believe I heard the limit was 65,000). Does any one have any thoughts?
