using pickists

I have a picklist on my spreadsheet that pulls data from another column on another sheet. The picklist may contain a large number of names. Is there any way to have a user type part of the the first letter of the name and it takes you to that "neighborhood" on the list. Is there a way to do that or does Excel nit have that capability? It is taking a user longer to look through the list than to just type it themselves.

You could use a Combo drop-down edit list control. You would need to use this on a user form and it would require visual basic programming to integrate with your spreadsheet. Its not not a simple task if you do not know VB.
