Entering data from a drop-down list

I need to be able to enter data from a drop-down list to reduce errors. However, the drop-down data - lot numbers, sometimes 10 of them - will be dependent on the item number. How do I get Excel to look for data in a dynamic list?

Thanks.

So in column A you have item number, and column B is dependent on that? Here is a good explanation from Ozgrid Dependent List Explanation

Thanks, Rich.

It's quite complicated and I don't know yet if I can simplify it for the users, but it sure looks good.

I have used this approach several times for my own work. Once you get the hang of it, it goes rather quickly.
