I’m getting files generated by a DOS program (that doesn’t have the option of exporting files to .txt or .xls
The files have no extension. File type = File
I have to open excel and use the Text Import Wizard

Every time I need to select the import settings, like delimited type etc.

Is there a way to have the setting saved and just import it?

have you tried changing the file extension type to .xls or .csv and what effect does this have?

Try using TextConverter. You can upload the file to them to have them set it up.
