Red face Restrict a toolbar from opening

Good morning,

I have a Hyperlink in my A2K3 database that goes to open a file in Excel. When Excel opens, it opens with several toolbar views that I don't wish to have. What I do is goes to View, Toolbars and then Uncheck the one's I don't wish to have. Looks good until the next time I open it. However, just opening the file in Excel alone it works well, without the unneeded toolbars. So how can I prevent those toolbars from opening in Excel when I go to it from a link in Access.

thanks,
BUD

Angry Toolbars

Hi

When you open an Excel file from Explorer it opens with the toolbars that were active when the file was saved.

When you open an Excel file through an Hyperlink it opens with the Web Toolbar and the toolbars that were active when the file was saved..

When you first open Excel then an Excel file only the toolbars of your copy of Excel show.

And there is no way around this.
