Pivot Charts - Removal of Series Field box

In a normal Pivot Chart Layout theres is a box called "Drop Series Fields Here".

How do I remove it, I know that it doesn't get printed but I dont want it to be displayed.

Thanks in advance

Howdy. Can you post a sample? I'm having trouble visualizing it.

Another option would be to use formulas from the Pivot Table, then create a chart from that, not on a chart sheet, but a normal worksheet. Or use VBA and create the Pivot and the chart entirely in VBA.

Oops, I stand corrected. Simple really:

With the pivot chart selected, on the pivot toolbar, choose PivotChart>Hide PivotChart Field buttons.
