I am using excel 2000, every time i exit the program I am ask if i want to save changes to personal.xls, i didnt change anything but it always ask how can i stop this?

There are several things that can trigger this.
For example:
The file is linked to another file.
-or-
You have a cell with the formual "=Now()"

Even though you aren't changing things, the file changes when you open it - and therefore is asking if you want to save those changes.
