excel workday function question

My workday function in excel (2003) is not working....[B]=workday(a1,b1).

Column A1 = 1/21/08
Column B1 = 1/14/08
Column has the workday function listed above, and the answer it gives is 94715....it should be 5.

Both Date columns are formatted for dates and the answer column is formatted for numbers.

What could be happening?

Hey, if you got it all wrong, try to do it all over again instead of figuring out went wrong. It always work for me. Good luck!

Hi

According to my Excel Help WORKDAY() returns a DATE not a number of days (neeeds to formatted as a Date!). Apparantley the second argument should be a number of days NOT a date!?

I think this guy is wanting the 'networkdays' function rather than 'workday' function.
