Opening MS Excel Attachments in 2007

I switched over to MS Office 2007 and since then, whenever I open an attachment that contains an Excel file, MS Excel will open, but the spreadsheet doesn't. If I minimize Excel, Excel minimizes but then bounces back open with the attachment open. I have to do this every time i open an Excel document from Outlook.

Does anyone know if there is a setting that I have prematurely set or what could be wrong? I do not have this problem with PowerPoint or Word.

I have un-installed and re-installed again with no success.

Randy

I managed to fix the problem although there was no specific reason as to why it happened in the first place.

I performed a Windows Update and whatever patch was on that download managed to fix the problem.
