Hi,

I am new to microsoft excell so please forgive my ignorance. i am making a simple spreadsheet for work. it is a simple inventory system for our tools. i have my fields set up and popolated my table. what i want to do is at the top of each field i need a drop down list to filter out certain records.

for example i have a field called "Station" and the options are A, B, C, D, E, F, I want to be able to choose "A" from a dropdown list and it to list all the A staion tools.

is this possible??

if so id much appreciate any help.

on your spreadsheet menu bar, Click Data, then choose Filter and click autofilter. Now you could see dropdown button on each of your fieldnames. Click on your Station field and select option to filter.

hope it helps.
