I am trying to save Excel files from numberous pc to a network shared drive. The files are very slow to save (up to 10 minutes) then when I cancel the file is actually already saved and with two different file names ex. file, fixe. I am using MS Excel 2007. To add to it, this does not happen with any other apps.

I can save Excel files to shared drives on computers with shared drives without the slow save. Don't remember about the duplicate files.

I have run malware and antivirus programs, disabled both add-ins and macros. If it were a problem with the server wouldn't it happen with MS Word and other files too??

I have been looking at this for over a week already.

What is a good program to scan for a macro virus. I have tried all of the usually scan programs but nothing detected. I beleive this issues is caused by some kind of macro virus as it has spread all over the network.
