Can I sort tabs (and so worksheets) alphabetically; can't get to vis basic editing. I am not administrator so not easily able to re-run office setup..?

You can't do this automatically with native Excel methods. When I say that, I mean there is no pre-made, built-in option or utility that comes with Excel which will sort the sheets alphabetically.

With VBA (Excel | Alt+F11 to open the VBAIDE), however, it is very straightforward.
