I am having an issue with Pivot tables. I think it is an issue with my source data. I have products sold in various stores at various times, and their corresponding dollar sales. I want to create a pivot table that would summarize this and also calculate % change from one time period to another.

I have attached an example of the final report.

When I go to create the calculated field, I cannot select it to calculate the different time periods, just the time period column from my raw data. Please see the attached sample raw data.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can accomplish this? Currently I am taking the values and pasting them as text in another sheet and editing the report manually. Note that the dollar values I have are made up!

Please see the attached file. Take a look inside the field settings for the % diff of previous period, particularly in the "display as" property.
