Comparing 2 columns of data and returning values?

Hi All,

I am stumped on this one.

I have a spreadsheet of about 550 servers that have attributes such as server name, warranty expiry date etc.

In another spreadsheet I have a list of about 400 servers that a user requires the warranty information for.

Is there a way to have excel compare the list of 400 hundred servers to the list of 550 servers and return the warranty expiry date column for only the 400 required servers? I am hoping to not have to do this manually.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Jon

Hi Jon,

Sure, next to the list of 400 servers, you can pull in the warranty expiry dates using VLOOKUP().
