Closing excel using macros

Although i can close the active workbook using excel, i cant get excel to close itself completely.
Any help please?

if you want it to close and save the workbook to the current location you could use this:
Sub Quit()
Application.Quit
ActiveWorkbook.Close SaveChanges:=True
End Sub
