EXCEL help

I have autofilter setup where I can select different fields.
When I switch from one value to another in the autofilter, all the other cells in the sheet should be cleared..which enables me to enter the values corresponding to that field. I am using Excel 2000.
Any help appreciated

Are You using VBA? If so can You provide the board with the code?

As with Dennis, I'm not clear what you mean.

If not VBA, then I wonder whether you need to undo the first filter to restore all, before you move onto the next filter.
