Question Changing default behavior for row deletion

This is a question that has bugged me for a while.

To delete a row using keystrokes, I press Ctrl--, then select "Entire Row" from the pop-up box that appears. I have always thought that the default behavior of the pop-up box should be "Entire Row". I can hardly think of a time I've needed to "Shift Cells Up".

Anyway, my question is: Is there anyway to modify the default behavior of the pop-up so that "Entire Row" is selected, thus saving keystrokes.

Thanks ahead of time.

Hello,

If you want to delete the row without the question being asked what you can do is select the entire row using Shift + Spacebar and then Ctrl -- to delete the row.

The popup will not be shown in this case.

Thanks.

That is a good workaround and I will use it. Nevertheless, I am still wondering if there is some facility in Excel, like VB, that will enable me to change the default selection of the pop-up box.
