Dates in Excel

I have a spreadsheet that has the hours I worked for a certain week. I have 3 columns. Start time, end time, and sum hours. How can I calculate my sum hours if I started work at 11:00 pm and finished at 7:30 the next morning?
Thanks

You will have to put in dates for this
5/1/04 11:00 PM
5/2/04 7:30 AM
=(+B1-A1)*24 (you will need to format as general)
