I sure that value's the type of cell as number ....

But Why sometime could not sum ( After sum would get 0 )
My solution is double click at the value again or press F2
Then could sum

I am using win98se and ms office2k sp3

if it works when you press F9 then seems that you should turn the calculation mode to automatic
