Question Excell Bug? Update File!

Hello,

I work with a lot link excell files and Acess but everytime I do an update on a specific Excell WorkBook There is one specific formula that gives me an error. Only when I open the source file the excell makes an update.
The formulas is: =SUMIF('L:\5 - RH\[BD.xls]Dados Básicos'!$J$2:$BQ$500;$B5;'L:\5 - RH\[BD.xls]Dados Básicos'!AS$2:AS$500).

It's a simple sumif formula!

Can someone Help Me to solve this excell Bug?

Best Regards,

FCosta

Does the formula literally return an error, or is the "error" a failure to calculate?

Try clearing the "Save External link value" checkbox in the Calculation tab of Tools, Options.

This is a known issue with the sumif/countif/countblank formulas. The source workbook needs to be open for the formula's to work. The workaround is to create an array formula instead. Click here to see the MS KB article relating to this issue.
