Today, our main production server was denying acess to all SQL cubes in analysis services. I have concluded that the problem can be resolved by the following MS Knowledgebase article.

I have done the suggested steps, and upped the memory threshold from 1GB to 2GB (for the time being). With only 4GB total memory on our SQL server, and ~1GB used up by the SQL service alone... I want to limit this memory usage as much as I can.

Can anybody tell me what may cause Analysis services to suddenly use up so much memory? I would like to leave the threshold down at 1GB, but only if I can rely on it staying under that amount.
