sysdtssteplog in MSDB

fellow DBAs

i have about 5 DTS packages that run everyday, but for some reason one of the DTS steps are not being populated into this table sysdtssteplog in MSDB.
how do you configure a DTS package's steps to be populated into sysdtssteplog. i have SQL Server 2000. thanks
