Installing SQL Server 2008 R2

I am in the planning stage for installing SQL Server 2008 R2 to a new server. SQL Server will have two instance, the default and one named.

1. When the named instance is to be installed, do the services for the default instance need to be stopped?

2. The server will be named DSNSQL. After the named instance (lets call it "ABC") is installed, it should appear as DSNSQL\ABC. Is this correct?

3. I also intend to install the fixpak SP1. Should the fixpak be installed after both instances are in place or does it matter? Prior to installation of the fixpak, do the SQL Server services need to be stopped?

Thanks for your assistance.
