Hello,

I have been beating my head against a brick wall for the last couple of hours with and sql mail error;

Server: Msg 18025, Level 16, State 1, Line 0
xp_sendmail: failed with mail error 0x80040605

Have search for this error with no luck, anyone with any ideas.

What messages are in your event viewer ?

I see nothing in the event log, either application nor system, all seems normal.

Correction to log events, I have just looked at the SQL logs and see two events, they are:

Starting SQL Mail session....
Error: 1073759806, Severity: 1, State: 0
SQL Mail session started..
Error: 1073759778, Severity: 1, State: 0

I was wrong about the logs, if have just had a look at the SQL logs and I see the following:

Starting SQL Mail session....
Error: 1073759806, Severity: 1, State: 0
SQL Mail session started..
Error: 1073759778, Severity: 1, State: 0
