the InnoDB blues

I am using EMS MySQL Manager to administer my database. I need to create a link between tables, which requires the InnoDB table type. It won't let me change the table type, nor will it let me create a new one that is of the InnoDB type.

Anyone have any ideas why? Am I missing some little setting somewhere?
