install httpd to web server

I hv a mysql 4 run on RH linux server , the default apache service is running , now I want to install the httpd rpm to the server because the ARCserve backup software need to install it first , I just want to ask if I install the httpd to the server but not start it , will it affect the setting / o peration of the web server , I am afraid the setting will be changed after install the httpd ? thx
