loading table from different database into my database

Hi,
I am new with MySQL. I just installed MySQL into my machine. Now I need to load all tables from Maxtor harddrive into my MySQL database. Would you please show me how to do that? Do I need to create a new instance or I can use either mysql or test instance already existed after I instlall MySQL software?
