Mysql suddenly shutdown service in Win2k

Dear all,
I have Mysql 4.0.17 running on Win2K as a windows service. One day we found out that the services was suddenyly shutdown, no error logs found in the database and windows service. Is it due to MySQL or Windows ?
Can anyone help me
