How to use the Socket in the MyODBC Driver??

Hi all

I am Use Visual Basic 6 to connect to MySQL DataBase

I use the MySQL Driver 3.51 to connect and it is work very good

but

when the the application try to connect when it behind a proxy
it not work

I found in the ODBC Driver a Socket Propery or windows pipe

how to use it with windows???

or

how to connect to a mysql database when we are behind a proxy
