let me make two comments

first, about your assignment -- if you do not know what the self-join should do for you, then you are going to have trouble with sql forever, and maybe you should take up carpentry or something else instead

second, about your self-join -- it is correct, although not very useful

good luck

your question was not clear at all. You are also not supposed to post any homework questions on this (or other forums) and pose them as something else.

You should also note that you don't just do a self join on a table for no reason at all, there should be a reason behind it and you did not describe that at all, even when asked.

going forward it would help if you asked your questions in a clearer manner, then you will likely get the help you need rather than little or none at all.

Just two cents worth from someone who has been around the block a few times.
