how to get mysql

Is mysql free and downloadable?
Does it have anything to do with mysql server? Because I have that downloaded as well as the apache server.

Oh ok. I have it automatically running when XP starts but I don't know how to use it to store data.

sorry, i am not a technician, i am merely a user

it'll have something to do with passwords, or userids, or connection strings, or DIP switches, or something...

Do you have the SQL Server?
I have the MySql Server on and the Apache server on. I have XP. The mysql server goes up to Win NT.

When I deleted the pw then it worked. What the purpose of the password and where should it be added?
