How replace content (string) in a LONGTEXT?

I tried without any result with:
update table1 set col1=REPLACE(col1,'string ko','string ok');

Have you any idea to do that?

Thank you very much!
Fabio

what does "without any result" mean?

did the query run, or produce an error message?

I fix it, the problem was that I trid to replace "windows path":
KO -> REPLACE(col1,'D:\www\1','string ok');
OK -> REPLACE(col1,'D:\\www\\1','string ok');

thank you, @r937!:-)
