Thumbs up

SOLUTION:

If you have tried to install MySQL 5.1.34 without success the first time, follow these steps...

1. Stop the Service (if it has been started!)
2. Unistall MySQL (from add/remove)
3. Go to C:\Program Files\MySQL\ (folder) and DELETE the folder MySQL Server 5.1
4. Go to C:\ProgramData\MySQL\ (folder) and DELETE everything in there!!!
5. Start a new installation of MySQL 5.1.34
6. Done!

Hope it helps...

If you use Stored Procedures, I urgently recommend that you PLEASE GET AWAY FROM MySQL 5.1.34 RIGHT NOW !!! AAAHHH !!!

I had a ton of trouble loading Stored Procedures in both the Windows and Linux versions of 5.1.34. I am a DBA, not a Developer. Yet, I tested this on both Platforms (RHEL 5 and WIndows XP).

MySQL 5.1.35 and above loads Stored Procedures just fine.
