Never liked a db work because it's static and all you do query or update; so far am a can do guy with views, stored proc. etc. Whereas programing is more dynamic thing to do I like.

Ok, this time I have to make kind of a big database with m of products, categories and searches. kind of bizrate.com - thousands of products from diff. vendor comes via CSV and then populate them in DB and display compare.

I am looking for a mysql db schema could handle kind of thing.. like split tables by merchants, by category, group keywords, index on different things like category, brand, price etc. For now this will run in one server and 2-3 mysql db could be used.

Any succession, pointers are most welcome.
