MySQL backup

Is there an automated software that will take care my daily backup through online? My people are not techies to do this thing.

Hi,

most backups are performed using command line executables. These may be put into a scheduler which will run at a predetermined time. There is one product that I have seen which appears to do this. Check out AutoMySQLBackup | Download AutoMySQLBackup software for free at SourceForge.net.

However, be careful what you are backing up for and how much time is available for recovery if you do need to restore. There was a post just this week where a restore was taking in excess of a week due to the volume of data that needed to be restored. I have written a small article highlighting these types of issues.
