open source db management program

is there a really great open source mySQL db management program?
phpMyadmin works great, but I have been looking for a really good program with a better gui that I can run locally and really study my db in depth.

depends on what you mean by open source
Rudy (R937) recommends Heidi, and Im sure that will do the job

if by open source you mean free at the point of use then try the mySQL gui tools from MySQL
