What is best SQl manager/client?

Hi,

I will like to make my debut to using SQL manager/client to interface and manage the database(s)/data of my websites. Now i am really new to this, thus newbie but i learn pretty fast.

What is the best SQL manager/client out there for MySQL? using Linux server, ofcourse

Are they the same product/doing same thing? which is better?

never tried it, but i'm rather skeptical about desktop software that costs hundreds of dollars when there are completely adequate freeware products available
