I want to create a web database application and need some help in how to start. Basically, the web database is for a school. In this database there will be tables and forms. I want to create a website of this database. For example, I have a form to create a new record, so in the website there is a link to it. The interface should almost to MS Access but in a customised way in a webpage.

So, I need help on how to start.
I'm using a Linux hosting, so ASP.net suggestion is not applicable. Unless you can teach me how to run ASP.net on a shared Linux server.
