ok to install on local machine?

I'm currently playing around with mysql on one of my webhosts. I really want to test some things out and want to do it on one of my own machines. XP Pro, IIS running. Anyone have any suggestions about running mysql in this environment?

If you follow the standard installation procedure, you won't run into problems.

Just remember the little quirky differences between your Windows and Linux environments (like tablenames being case-sensitive on the latter).

G'luck.

I just happened to install everything a couple of hours ago ("everything" being mysql and php).

The php is working properly, however I haven't tested the mysql yet. I need to first setup something like mysqlcc and import my information.

Thanx for the response

ntext-BLOB error

Perhaps I should make another post for this, but I don't want to make too much clutter -

I'm having trouble with my import.

I'm using DTS in Enterprise Manager to try and get my SQL Server info over. However, because I have ntext fields, they're being recognized as BLOBS, and I'm hitting errors. Any suggestions?
