Hi,

I am having trouble setting up a database connection in Dreamweaver. I have entered the 'mySql server name' as 'localhost'.

I do not have a username or password for the mySql database, I just get to it by typing in 'http://localhost/phpmyadmin/index.php'. Dreamweaver will not let me connect unless i put in a password and username. All related helpfiles say to enter your username and password. How can i get a connection to the database?

I installed the phpdev package.

If you have just installed MySql on your computer MySql came with a master password root (without password) so try to use it
