Trouble getting started

I'm new to MySQL and I've recently downloaded all the compenents that I need to run a site using Personal Web Server (OS Win 98)

I have run a few test programs and I am able to connect to a database named "test" which appears to be part of the MySQL installation.

I am unable however to connect to any Access dbs.

I've downloaded and installed ODBC.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this

Error message is as follows:

Coudn't open C:\******\******\*****\db1.mdb: Incorrect database name 'c:\******\******\******\db1.mdb'

Hi!

Sorry, but I didn't get you. What about do you ask: about some MySQL trouble or about Access db's opening trouble?

Thanks for responding but I've already figured it out.

Since i'm new to the whole thing I was unaware that you can't connect DIRECTLY to an Access db. I've exported the DB to MySQL and everything is working fine.
