MySQL win32 build from source

I downloaded the MySQL 4.0.16 sources and I have VC6 with sp4 and the pre-processor pack that is required to build everything. The sources build fine but now I want to do stuff like compile it with SSL. The problem is: I cannot find anywhere how to specify these settings in the win32 build/sources. Must be quite trivial but no docs online telling me where and how to do this...

What are the build settings files? Is there any maual or info on this subject?
