Copy Table A.Column A to Table B. Column B

Hi,
I have a column, Id_code in clientes table wich i need to copy in its entirety to table USERS column user. There are other rows in the tables but none of them are similar. i tired an update but I was unsuccesful Any help would be appreciated!
