i just created a user in mysql with phpmyadmin
I gave the user a name, password, and ONLY SELECT priviliges.

I linked up to th mysql from ms access via odbc and deleted an entry!!!

Whenever you modify a user or its privileges, you have to execute a FLUSH PRIVILEGES to reload the GRANTS/USERS tables...
