Exclamation Help/Advice - Sleeping SQL Processes

Hello, I'm running a server that has WHM loaded on it.. I was just checking out some of the server stats because my server load has been kind of high lately. While looking around, I noticed that there were a bunch of (about 40) sleeping SQL processes. All of the processes are from the same user and DB.

Site: http://aimjuncture.com

I'm just curious as to what would cause them to sleep and not die? I just went through and double checked that I closed all of my SQL connections when I was done processing commands.

Any advice or assistance would be GREATLY appreciated. If this could be a coding error, I would appreciate it if someone would be willing to take a look at the code?

I can be contacted via:

A process that is sleeping doesn't consume resources so it is unlikely that you have a problem that requires to be addressed.
