Error 2002: Can't conneect to local MySQL server through socket

Hi There

Error 2002: Can't conneect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock (61)

Why am I getting this error? How do I resovle this problem?

You should give use more clue (OS MySql Version ...)
And try to see if MySql is running and use unix socket

Hi

I am using Mac OS X 10.2.8 .

If I want to start the server it looks like it is starting but then at the end it displays a message that reads: "mysql ended".

Dunno what that means.

Look at the error file. You can find it in database directory.
