i am trying to test cold fusion pages locally. but i am having a problem accessing access db's. so i have unstalled mysql and the mysql-connector-java-3.1.0, ia m not sure whaqt else i need to do to get this work. is it easier to do the databases in something else besides access? if so, how can i take the access databases and use it elsewhere? or what should i try to make it work? what do i setup fot the datasource and so on. i dont know what to put for source, url, and driver. then i dont know where to put the db's. i am really a newbie in need of help. any kinda of feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Let me get this straight: You're trying to use Java MySQL providers for Cold Fusion?

If you want a simple solution:

Install MySQL
Install ODBC Driver
Write some JSP
